What are the advantages and disadvantages of JFET over BJT?
February 02, 2016
1.BJT is a bipolar device hence it has noise due to storage of minority carriers , while JFET is a majority carrier device hence less prone to noise.
2.FET works in concept of field effect which is different from the concept of BJT hence they all have common advantage of high i/p impedance and low power consumption and they don't suffer from thermal runaway.
3.JFET and other FETs can be fabricated in small area while BJT needs large area relatively. But in today's case MOSFET are more popular than JFET hence JFET are not much in use.

you are clear my mind actually after reading your article i got clear my complete doubt. thanks for such easy understanding post. Sharing on what is pinch off voltage for a jfet for future aspect at here http:// electrotopic.com/what-is-the-pinch-off-voltage-for-a-jfet/
