- In nMOS, electrons are the majority carriers.When the gate of an nMOS transistor is high, the transistor is ON. When the gate is low, the nMOS transistor is OFF.
- In pMOS, holes are the majority carriers. When the gate of a pMOS transistor is low, the transistor is ON. When the gate is high, the pMOS transistor is OFF.
